"As a longtime Cramerton resident, we are proud of our textile mill history where Stuart Cramer created a model mill village complete with the construction of quality homes, schools, churches, doctors, orchards and a dairy...and air conditioning in the mill itself. In moving my elderly parents to Cramerton to be closer to us, we were able to purchase one of the 100+ year old historic homes just a few houses from downtown. We decided to commission a piece of stained-glass art to adorn the home in the design of the "Goat in the Boat," Cramerton's unofficial mascot. The goat represents the goats Stuart Cramer unleashed onto what is now Goat Island Park to control vegetation. The boat represents the South Fork River that runs through town. Whether it's'garden goats' that adorn most homes or the purple Goat in the Boat flag hung by homes, our new stained glass is absolutely gorgeous (and the envy of neighbors), thanks to the talents of Susan. We highly recommend working with her if you want to bring history (or a story) into your home."

"Susan is an excellent teacher! My Dad and I learned so much, and each finished with a beautiful stained glass piece to proudly display. I highly recommend taking classes from Susan, and also recommend her for any projects you want completed professionally. We had the opportunity to see some of her current projects, and they are beautiful!!"

"I recently completed Susan's four week class and was very impressed with her knowledge of stained glass and her teaching style. Susan not only explained what I had to do but also why, so I had more of an understanding of the process. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to explore stained glass and I hope to take an advanced course with Susan in the future."

"I had been wanting to learn how to work with stained glass for quite a while and I'm so happy that I chose Susan to teach me. The one on one attention was fantastic. She is knowledgeable and patient, providing guidance and suggestions at every step but allowing you the freedom to figure out what works best for you. A huge bonus is that she provides all of the tools and supplies that you need so you don't have to make a huge investment without knowing if you enjoy it. I highly recommend Susan - she's a wonderful teacher!"

"I took the beginners copper foil course with Susan; I loved every second of it! She was a great teacher and using what I learned I've been able to make more sun catchers on my own.
I hope to take the advanced course with Susan after I get a little more practice :)"

"We purchased an old window in Florida at an art fair. It was always our goal to hang it inside the frame of a larger transom in our bedroom. We had ideas of what we wanted, but Susan made it a reality. She met with us at our home, she saw the window, the transom, understood our goals, grasped our style then set out to create. The amount of time she spent zeroing in on our vision coupled with her patience, creativity and talent were immeasurable. We couldn't be happier with the final product or our experience with Susan. From start to finish she was a real pro, completely focused on making certain that her project captured our goal, from color to lettering to glass style. If you have a stained glass project on the horizon, I would highly recommend harboring Susan's talent. It's obvious her work is focused completely on customer satisfaction."

"I am retired and wanted to get back into stained glass. My wife gave me Susan's class as a gift. The class was great! I did not want to start from scratch, however, I was not exactly an advanced student. Susan's instruction was fantastic. She reinforced already learned skills and also taught new methods. I really enjoyed the class, it was exactly what I needed. Susan is an accomplished teacher and has great people skills. I would definitely recommend her classes."

"I decided to pursue my desire to learn the craft of stained glass and am so happy I found Susan! With 30 years of experience she is full of all sorts of helpful hints as she guides you through the process. She is very patient and encouraging and I only wish I had signed up sooner! Susan also creates gorgeous custom pieces (was working on a fabulous transom window while I was there) so if you want to personalize your home with a custom piece I would definitely give her a call! Thanks Susan!!"

"My husband and I just completed a class with Susan today. It was a great class!!! Susan had everything prepared for the class and spent time up front giving very thorough directions and tips. She was with us the entire time to give guidance where needed...which was a lot as this was our first ever class. The design she picked for us turned out to be really pretty and because of her patience, we were able to complete it. Susan is a great patient teacher who gives support and encouragement the whole time you are learning. We hope to take another class with her as soon as we can. Thank you, Susan, for making this a very positive learning experience. We think we have the stained glass fever to keep learning!!!!!"

"Susan is THE best. My Dad and i had been looking for a beginner-to-intermediate stained glass course. However, we wanted it to be hands-on. After researching different options (that weren't ideal due to lack of flexibility, proximity to Charlotte, not hands on, etc.) I stumbled upon Susan's Stained Glass Creations website. I reached out and got an immediate response. Our summer was busy, but she was super flexible. The course is nicely divided into four ~3 to 4 hour sessions, which is perfect. You learn one big step of the process in each session (choosing pattern/glass, cutting/grinding, foiling/sodering). She's so helpful (but lets you do everything yourself) and adjusts her teaching to your skill level. Just the best, worth every penny and more!!"

Terri Wagner

"Every step of the four week class was fun and informative. Even the aspects I thought would be intimidating went so smoothly with Susan's expert instruction. I feel so fortunate to have been able to take a class with a master glass artist with decades of experience.

I highly recommend the class!"

"My daughter, Maria Jeanette Muckey, commissioned Susan (her Aunt Susan) to make the beautiful Peace Stained Glass Creation everyone can see on this Facebook page. It will one day hang in my pay-what-you can cafe, Peace Cafe in Winston-Salem when it opens. Susan, my sister, has made me many beautiful creations over the years. I love each piece. The Peace symbol is exquisite. She made it with love. But she doesn't only make her creations with love for her family. Each piece is truly made from her heart. I've watched her from the beginning of her adventure with stained glass to now. Her enthusiasm and love for her craft has not wavered. Susan is truly a stained glass Artist of the highest caliber."

Maria Jeanette Laughlin

"My mother is opening a "pay as you can" cafe named Peace Cafe in Winston-Salem. So I commissioned my Aunt Susan to create a large peace sign to hang in the window of my mother's cafe. When she presented it to myself and my mother, and all our family, we were all blown away by the piece. It was themed to be "by the beach" and Aunt Susan incorporated sea colors and shell colored glass and beads to create a colorful work of art. She is so talented and I cannot thank her enough for this beautiful peace sign!"

"...Without a doubt Susan Peters ranks at the top of my list for being sensitive to the institution's or owner's needs and desires and then being able to transform with her amazing artistic gifts those needs and desires into a beautiful, inspiring stained glass window. I would even say that her imagination and talent enhances and gives more life to the original idea."

Marilyn Holzmann

"Susan has an amazing gift.  I was beyond surprised as she captured my love for trees. She was able to bring to life every season and the colors that I love to see in nature. Thank you so much. Thank you for shipping it to Germany. Everyone that passes by is in love with this piece of art on my window."
